Annual SIOR Boat Cruise 

This year’s Annual SIOR Boat Cruise was hosted by SIOR Carl Traub on his boat, the Grand Cru, on Thursday, October 17, 2002.  The event was sponsored by the Connecticut SIOR Chapter to promote potential Associate Members to the Connecticut SIOR chapter.  After the cruise up the Connecticut River, the SIOR’s met at the Essex Yacht Club.

       Hi-Tech Deal

Waterbury, CT., - Tom Hill III, CCIM/SIOR, has recently sold one of the cities finest
 industrial/office flex buildings to Innovative Information Solutions.  Innovative Information Solutions, a Woodbury-
based company,  and the company’s  President and CEO, Evan Walters, originally started looking in the Greater 
Waterbury area and Hill’s extensive site search turned up this well located Waterbury building in the Reidville Industrial 
Park, at 61 Interstate Lane.  The Information Technology Zone (ITZ) Coordinator was able to assist Hill and the company
with a package of incentives by going to the Board of Aldermen and using the ITZ  designation to convince the firm to 
choose  Waterbury.  The building is a 15,000 square foot building, only 10 years old, with 6,000 square feet of class “A” 
offices on the second floor.    

 “This expansion will allow the company to develop an integration center, which will allow us to integrate multiple 
manufacturers into a single solution,” Mr. Walters said.  “I chose Waterbury based upon a combination of real estate
prices, city and state tax abatements, centralized location and Waterbury’s improving economy.  Waterbury is an up and 
coming market, from an investment standpoint, and will make an outstanding corporate home for Innovative Information 
Solutions.”
